Short Layered Pixie Hair Style

Short Hair Styles Long on Glam Appeal

What is not to like about this great Pixie Chic look. Soft bits round out the face and add noticeable movement to this super-short layered pixie. The convertible fringe can be brushed back or smoothed to the side, but the best way to wear it is totally textured.

Classic 30's Bob Hair Style with Straight BangsSharp Idea

Ruler-straight strands form the basis of this precision haircut, inspired by the classic bobs of the ’30s. Bangs are taken from mid-crown and are cut perfectly blunt, while sides are snipped into chunky, cheekbone-hugging points.

Play up cut-in movement by directing your rounded haircut forward all around. Working from a top central point, blow-dry for volume, pulling sections forward and turning ends under with a large round brush. To enhance detail in the finish, finger-comb with a touch of texture creme.

Blonde Short Crop Hair StyleTailor Made

Body-hugging fashions meet their match in carefully tailored hair that hugs the head and accommodates natural growth patterns. A tightly fitted nape enhances the neckline, while graduated sides add fullness when tucked back. Quick round brush styling is all it takes.

Haircuts with Bangs a Fashion Must Have

Fresh Looks in Haircuts with Bangs

Adding bangs to your hairstyle, whether thick and blunt or side-swept and layered, can make you look 10 years younger! A little fringe can go a long way by concealing a broad forehead and fine lines. Check out these haircuts with bangs for inspiration. Longer bangs that fall just below the eyebrows are pleasurable, but just about any type of bang will look attractive.

Angled Bangs

As you can see from the above photo of Ellen Baker a short, tapered bob is perfect when paired with bangs that curve over the forehead from a high side part. This bangs style is less severe and more versatile than blunt bangs. When you feel like a change, you can direct them straight back or anchor them further to the side with a barrette.

Heavy Bangs Haircut

Heavy Handed Bangs

There’s nothing subtle about this bang haircut. It’s cut to lash-length at a slight angle, they’re styled smooth to contrast with the rest of the hair’s tightly coiled texture. The fringe’s solid, deep brunette shade makes it stand out all the more when it’s set against bold high lights everywhere else.
Slanted Bangs Haircut

Slanted Bangs Hairstyle

When your bob is all front fringe, part hair on the far side and a subtle angle naturally appears because of the different distances hair travels across your head. Simply dip the tips, of a comb in gel and smooth the ends.
Chunky Bangs Hairstyle

Chunky Bangs

Use bangs to add texture to your look by having them completely layered, all the way through the crown.  You can make them as thick or as thin as you want, depending on how you part off the top. Free-form blow-drying  further amps up the texture.
Thick and Polished Bangs Hairstyle

Thick and Polished Bangs

When paired with a updo, bangs offer an element of softness. here, full-rounded fringe has been cut and styled to stay centered above the eyes. The hair’s sparkling shade of sherry is glossed over the top with a hint of bronze, ensuring you’ll stand out in any crowd.
Hair Style with Double Layered Bangs

Double Layered Bangs

What could be sexier (and simpler!) than the double-layered bang? Have your bob hair cut fringed at the sides, and you’ll get twice the style points! To style, weave out a few strands with a tail comb and pull them forward over shorter pieces.
Hair Cut with Asymmetrical or angled Bangs

Asymmetrical Bangs

Cut on a strong angled diagonal, this bang haircut type is as attention-grabbing as they come! Hair is sculpted ultra-close on one side and only slightly longer on the opposite, where a cheek-grazing piece intersects with the fringe’s end point.

Hair Cut with Wispy Bangs

Long and Wispy Bangs

Unevenly sliced bangs work perfectly with fringe-cut sides that tickle the cheeks. Longer pieces are angled forward to veil the eyes . . . it’s such a sexy way to step out at night, during the day, comb wayward strands to the side to keep them under control.

Hair Cut with Super Short Bangs

Super Short Bangs

For an extra-striking approach, have your fringe cut at least half-an inch above the brow. A square shape frames the face best, so keep edges even. Here, point-cut ends, which are deeper at the sides, add subtle movement.

Hair Styles for a Square Face

Cameron Diaz wore this hair style in Bad Teacher

.

How to Flatter Square Face Shapes!

Women with square face shapes think hair styles for their face shape are hard to come by . . . not true! Square face shapes are sculpted looking which more often than not turn heads for such dramatic features!

A Square face will have a vivid, dramatic, jaw bone structure that defines the face shape.  When I think of celebrities that fall into this category I think of, Cameron Diaz, Jodie Foster, Demi Moore, Emma Bunton, Jackie Kennedy, Brad Pitt and Robert Redford to name a few. “Flattering Hair Cuts
For Square Face”

But, none of these celebrities have a perfectly square face if you were to measure . . . and most likely neither do you.   But they do have defining jaw bones and a symmetry that makes their face shape appear more square than not. Notice that their face shape appears different depending on what angle their picture is taken at; whether they are smiling or not, and how they wear their hair style.

What hair styles are most flattering for a square face shape?  Below are some favorites these celebrities have worn over the years. As a rule of thumb, here are some good hair style features to incorporate into if you fall into the angular face category.

You’ll want to include some of these features:

  • Soft waves
  • Layers on long hair to frame and soften the face
  • Off center parts
  • Layering to achieve some height on top
  • Side swept bangs
  • Wispy bangs
  • Asymmetrical hair styles
  • Crop hair cuts swept off the face

What should you avoid?

  • Straight hair without any bend will sharpen straight lines in the face
  • Full straight bangs will shorten the face
  • Hair styles that end at the chin will make the face appear more square
  • Too much fullness in relation to the height and length will widen the appearance in the face.
  • Center parts may cut the face down the middle, making it look more symmetrical
