Isn’t it Time to say Goodbye to These Out of Style Hair Trends?

What not to wear! . . . just say no to these out of date looks
Hair trends come and go so quickly, it’s hard to keep up at times. You get feather extensions for the weekend and next thing you know everyone has moved on. Although some hair trends are timeless, others need to die a slow death somewhere very far away. The following hair styles and hair color trends need to disappear now and forever.
The Mullet
No matter how much this style is derided, it still won’t completely go away. Even female celebrities have been spotted rocking the mullet, (aka the femullet) at one point or another in their careers. Notable mullet suporters of the past include Sharon Stone, Scarlett Johansson, and Gwen Stefani
Ombre Hair
Ombre hair is one of those trends that came out blazing. You couldn’t open a magazine without the two-tone style being featured. Famous faces caught up in the ombre mania included Drew Barrymore, Jessica Biel and Hilary Duff. The half brown and half blond hair color is typically done on women with medium to long length hair. Yet, it almost seems like a lazy way to color your hair. If you wanted this look naturally, you could simply grow out your roots.
Cornrows
You’re on vacation in the Caribbean and one of the charming locals asks to braid your hair. You think, might as well get into the island spirit. However, this is a decision you’ll likely regret. Nothing screams bad vacation hairdo than coming home with cornrows and your friends, family and coworkers know you’re not the ‘cornrow’ kind of gal. If you do decide to have your hair braided while in the islands, at least remove the braids as soon as you return.
Bedhead
It’s almost comical to think that this is an actually look many of us have tried to achieve. The only time a bedhead hairstyle is totally appropriate is when you’re getting out of BED. Men and women are both guilty of experimenting, sometimes much too freely, with this out of style hair trend. The messy look even helped launch a line of hair care products. Unless you’re a supermodel like Kate Moss (one of the most prominent bedhead trend setters), get a comb.
Faux Hawk
There aren’t many people who can pull off a faux hawk these days and even fewer could pull them off when they were first popular back in 08′. But sure enough, I saw one of these flash by out of the corner of my eye the other day and after I caught my breath I thought, “isn’t it time we just be done with this trend?”
