How to get the Chipped Haircut

Chipped Form Line Haircut How To’s

THE CUT ~~ If you’ve been growing out your bob haircut, banish those blunt lines for a chipped form line that lets your ends come to life. Linda Cooper-Keller of Identity Hair Salon in Cincinnati, OH, keeps as much length as possible and snips into ends so some are slightly shorter than others. Add bangs or not—it’s all up to you.

THE COLOR ~~ When natural blonde get dull or drab looking, look to two-toned highlights for help. Here, a bright butter color and a more golden shade are alternated throughout. Once highlights are done, a golden gloss is applied all over to add shine.

HOW TO STYLE IT ~~ Keep the look asymmetrical for a more modern feeling. For thick hair, apply gel and comb from roots to ends, then dry small sections, flipping up ends with a round brush as you work from front to back. Use tension to keep the surface smooth. Bend ends with the hair brush don’t wrap them all the way around it. This show off the textured pieces.
