I have concerns about the ethics behind human hair extensions

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have never been comfortable with this human hair extensions issue. There is just something unnatural about selling something so personal as your own lovely long hair, regardless of where it comes from.

Then when I hear that the human hair extension originated in some poverty stricken third world country, I instantly fear that some middleman somewhere is making enormous profits off the backs of underprivileged women. Stars including Halle Berry, Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez reportedly wear the “temple hair,” pristine locks that once belonged to Indian maidens in their teens and early 20s.
