Sharon Osbourne’s new bob has been voted the best hairdo of 2005.The X Factor judge swapped her red streaks for a sleek brunette cut - and the public have rated it top of the crops. Ashes hero Kevin Pietersen and his skunk look came second in the survey by Yahoo!, ahead of David Beckham. Another sporting star, Welsh rugby ace Gavin Henson, came fourth with his trademark spiky do. Fifth was Sienna Miller, who recently ditched her boho locks in favour of a Sixties crop. Charlotte Church was sixth, followed by Jordan and Kate Moss. Nearly 3,000 people were surveyed about their favourite celebrity hairstyle.

A spokesman said: “The survey shows many of us take style inspiration from Sharon Osbourne’s new look.”But it may not suit everyone - we recommend testing celebrity hairstyles before you go for the chop.”
