How to Grow Hair Fast

Natural Ways to Make Your Hair Grow Faster

Since the typical rate of hair growth per month is approximately ½ inch, you may be wondering if there is anything you can do to speed up the process. The following are some top tips and products you can use to make your hair grow faster and to ensure that it stays vibrant and healthy.

Nutrition and Rest

Diet, exercise and getting plenty of rest play an important role in maintaining a healthy head of hair. A poor diet can take a toll on your hair, and you may notice it becoming dry, brittle and lifeless. A healthy diet and exercise, on the other hand, help in maintaining good circulation which will promote better blood flow to the scalp and the hair follicles which in turn can help make hair grow faster.

Vitamins

Protein, minerals and vitamins can speed up hair growth. To get your hair to grow faster, try consuming at least 30 grams of protein each day. This could come from sources such as fish, nuts, leafy vegetables, eggs and lean chicken. An additional vitamin source that aids in hair growth includes magnesium and zinc. Vitamin B-5, B-6, and B-12 are other top vitamins to consider taking when you are looking to increase your hair growth quickly.

Limit the Use of Heating Tools

Using a hair straightener, blow dryer and curling iron can damage and weaken your hair with continued use. Try to limit the use of these products and allow your hair to dry naturally as much as possible. This will help your hair to retain more of its natural oils, which can keep it from breaking off and help increase the  growth of your hair.

Hair Products

Shampooing on a daily basis can dry out the scalp and hair and prevent your hair from growing. Try shampooing at least three times a week and use a mild shampoo that is free of sulfates and perfumes. Too many styling products can also build up on your hair and scalp which makes the hair dull and lifeless and clogs up follicles. Use a clarifying shampoo occasionally if you use hair products and always condition afterwards for healthy shiny hair.

Get Your Hair Trimmed

A healthy haircut not only looks good, but it can also increase the growth of your hair. Split ends will slow down hair growth by breaking off.  So, keep your hair trimmed on a regular basis if you want to grow your hair faster.

Avoid Stress

An over amount of stress and anxiety can contribute to hair loss. If you want to promote hair growth and a healthy head of hair, you need to manage your stress and find positive ways to combat problematic situations.

Get a Massage

A scalp massage is a wonderful way to relax, and it promotes hair growth by increasing blood flow to the scalp and follicles. To aid in healing the scalp further, try adding nourishing oils such as coconut and rosemary.

Hair Extensions

While your hair is in the process of growing out, you can use hair extensions to make it look longer. The best hair extensions are made from human hair, and they can be applied with clips or other painless procedures done in salon. High quality hair extensions can last up to a year or more and they blend in well with your own natural hair.
