Lay Girl’s Guide To Easy Hair

If you want to look good but don’t have time in the morning here is what you need to know
Almost every woman I talk to wants an easy hair routine. I often reply with a joke, “That solution is easy, and I won’t even charge you for it . . . shave it all off!” That takes care of it, in a hurry.
The response I usually get at that point is “Don’t be silly. I still want to look good, too!” That’s where the problem begins. We all want to have it both ways, but in reality, it’s hard to do both but there are some simple things that can help.
I know that most of you don’t have the time it takes to fight your hair style into submission every day. Life for the modern woman is busy and you are pleading for someone out there to understand your dilemma! You want to look good in 15 minutes or less a day. That is a reasonable request!
You may have had a hair style at one time that miraculously, after little or no effort from you, just fell into place. Maybe you could put a styling product in your wet hair and walk out the door and you were done with it! You are the ones that know it can be done. You can have a hair style that is made for you, a hair style that looks good with minimal effort. (But even you may have forgotten it is possible, if it was ten years and four hairdressers ago.)

Easy Hair Styles Start With A Good Hair Stylist
The one thing you need to do to get a quick and easy hairstyle that looks good . . . a good hair stylist. Having an experienced hairdresser whose goal is making you look your best is all you need.If you don’t have a good hairdresser read my article How to Find the Best Hairdresser.
First of all, a good hairdresser will have good communication skills. Your best interest will be at heart. Therefore, your hairdresser should know about your lifestyle issues. What image would you like to portray; professional, high fashion, casual fun-loving etc? What tools and hair care products are you able and willing to use. Do you want an easy hair style you can wear casually most of the time and be able to dress it up when you have the time or a special occasion?
If you have an experienced hairdresser who knows your hair, knows what is important to you about your looks, understands your lifestyle and what you are willing to do on a day-to-day basis to take care of it, let them have the reins to steer you into a quick and easy hair style that works for you. Be sure to do your part; communication is a two-way street, so give a detailed explanation of what you want. The more clear you can be in delivering your concerns to your hairdresser, the better chance you have of getting the result you want. You may not know what hair style you need. Actually, it’s not your job to know that; but you do know your lifestyle issues and personal preferences. So, be clear with your hairdresser about these things.

Ditch the Daily Shampoo Routine
You don’t need to shampoo every day, unless your hair is oily. If it becomes unruly when you skip the washing, wet it down, massage the scalp and condition the hair, if needed. (That will save oils in your hair and condition the hair as well.)

Go For Easy Haircuts
Have at least one or two alternative ways to style your hair. If long, a ponytail, braid or a twist are all quick fixes for a fast and easy hair style. If your hair is short or medium length, try styling with a different hair care product or tool. Experiment with gel, pommade, mouse, flat-iron, velcro rollers, and pin curls. There is always more than one way to style your hair style, and your hairdresser should help you out with this. Ask them for advice and suggestions, if you need to.
